Essential Oils & Aromatherapy

Essential Oils are the spirit, personality or essence of an aromatic plant. They are fragrant, natural volatile liquids found in plants, leaves, fruit, seeds, roots, wood, resin, rum, grasses and flowers.  Essential oils are used in aromatherapy practices and to ease a multitude of conditions. Many are known to be antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. At the same time they can affect your mood and well-being, helping to relax both the body and mind.

Aromatherapy is a form of holistic practice of caring for the body. Essential oils, applied in several ways including massage, inhalation, vaporization, compresses, bath products and skincare help improve physical, mental and emotional health.

A warm bath is one of the most pleasurable ways to use essential oils, as the complex chemical compounds they contain are believed to enter the bloodstream through the skin.
